DAWN YODER GRABER, SENIOR CONSULTANT & EXECUTIVE COACH

Dawn Yoder Graber HeadshotMeet Dawn Yoder Graber

SENIOR CONSULTANT & EXECUTIVE COACH

Dawn Y. Graber couples her love of people and passion for helping others with her 30+ years of leadership and learning experience in multicultural settings for the betterment of your success. She is an avid believer in the benefit of "alongside partnership" with clients through the lens of helping, listening, and learning specific to process consulting.

Dawn enjoys working with leaders and organizations on a broad swath of organizational development needs. She can first help you identify leadership development needs specific to your organization. Next, in partnership with you, you may desire to have Dawn develop a short- or long-term curriculum and plan sessions to resource your team with needed leadership skills. Dawn honors the truth that we are better when we hear everyone’s voices and plans learning sessions with engaging structures to invite the most reticent voice to join the conversation. As part of organizational development, Dawn works with leaders to assess and improve their work culture to allow for more attention to communication, feedback loops, equity access, conflict transformation, client engagement, program review, strategic planning, visioning, or individual or team coaching. Follow-up of the implemented organizational development plans and iterations needed along the way is a strength that Dawn, as a process consultant, provides for leaders.

“In every encounter, we either give life or we drain it.
There is no neutral exchange.”
- Brennan Manning

We are all capable of becoming agents of positive transformation in our lives and the lives of those around us.
We can be authentically ourselves and harness the courage to help others realize their true potential.

We all have the power of influence.

By understanding this, we can identify obstacles and unleash the power within ourselves to accomplish our dreams.
And that is my passion - to empower others to experience this transformation.

SUPPORTING WOMEN LEADERS

Women hold amazing gifts that the world needs. Although we are into the 21st century, women are still underrepresented in almost all work sectors, make less money for similar roles, are promoted at a much slower rate than men, are more stressed and approaching burnout than men, and are subject to debilitating microaggressions at a much more frequent rate than their male counterparts.

And yet women continue showing up at work while carrying the majority load at home and wanting to make a difference in their worlds. And you wondered why I love supporting women?

Sheryl Sandberg Quote

How can I support you?

  • Workshops or presentations on the state of women in the workplace.

  • Consulting agreements where equity opportunities are assessed, and plans are formulated together to increase gender diversity and belonging at all levels.

  • Coaching support for women leaders.

  • Coaching and/or teaching men in your organization how to be an ally for women leaders.

EXECUTIVE COACHING

What is Executive Coaching?

Walking alongside a leader by partnering with them in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the leader to maximize their personal and professional potential.

Leaders are becoming more familiar with the benefits of a trusted, long-standing professional coach as they strive to adapt to swirling change at a much greater rate while still responding to high expectations for performance.

Matthew Kelly Quote

Why consider executive coaching?

  • Improved communication skills

  • Increased self-esteem/self-confidence

  • Increased productivity

  • Optimized individual/teamwork performance

  • Improved work/life flow & well-being

  • Improved business management strategies

  • Expanded professional career opportunities

  • Acceleration into a new professional role

  • Accountability partner to help reach your goals

PROCESS CONSULTING

What is Process Consulting?

Process consulting is an iterative form of humble inquiry and guidance in which the consultant works alongside the client to co-create solutions.

A process approach to consulting embraces complexity, digs deeper to uncover real purpose, values organizational strengths, builds clarity of focus, grows leadership capacity, and deepens relationships both inside and outside an organization. A process consultant’s purpose is not to provide ready-made solutions but to advance the client’s growth and learning, and therefore effectiveness, through an authentic discovery process.

As Process Consultants, there are 3 primary values we use in order to effectively walk alongside you and your organization: Listening, Helping, & Learning.

Carl Rogers Quote

How Can Process Consulting Help?

As a certified advanced process consultant, I am skilled in executive team development (think of an expert partner to listen, help, and learn with you what "it" you need to design as stepping stones for your success). After working with you to discern your specific growth areas, help may look at clarifying your organization's vision especially in this time of a constant and quickly changing work culture, building effective communication and conflict strategies, or strengthening team-building while developing safe work cultures to allow for innovative and the best decision making possibilities. Help may also include strategies to improve gender inclusion or role clarifications and responsibilities.

On a personal note...a little more about me.

Some of you want to know me more before choosing to work with me. I get that. Let me share some glimpses into what makes me tick.

I am invigorated by my Christian faith, the friendship of young grandchildren, a colony of relatives who live next door, the sun, blue sky, green trees (have been known to talk to trees), and the gulf waters of Florida.

I'm a lover of books, count northern MI as my soul place, and eat popcorn like my Grandpa Chet (think frequently and a good amount!). I have rows of lifelong journals and dream of the family pouring over them learning important life lessons after I’m gone (wishful thinking is good for the soul, I say).

I have an ongoing study of health and fitness trying on what works for me. I seriously wake up thankful for the gift of the next 16-18 hours and feel the desire to be a blessing to those I interact with on any given day.

I’m passionate about figuring out and encouraging meaningful self-care for myself and others, am a huge fan of our noisy, chaotic family dinners, am committed to peacebuilding, growing cross-cultural understanding, and improving equity access.

I truly think my grandkids are my soul friends and my parents are my heroes, hands down. I’m thankful for the patience of my husband, Doug, who is the polar opposite of me in so many ways but who exemplifies staying at it when the day’s work tasks seem overwhelming or daunting.

And I’m busting buttons (if I wore buttons) proud of my adult children and their spouses (Andy/Lisa, Brad/Brenna, Chelsey/Alan, Stuart/Shina) in the lives they led, the love and guidance in their parenting, and their partnership with me as an earthly, intentional, loving, human.
