Naomi R. Wenger spent 20 years as the director of a contemplative retreat center, inviting folks into silence and stillness and encouraging them to rest. Now, she continues to practice silence, active listening, and stillness in her freelance work as a Spiritual Director and Retreat Leader. Her current challenge is learning to practice her contemplative lifestyle outside of the contemplative community. She still delights in ushering people toward their own inner openness to quiet mind, calm heart and still hands.
Naomi has a B.A. in History from Houghton College, a MAR from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a MATS from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary. She is a Spiritual Director, a Spiritual Direction Supervisor, and a Retreat Leader. She has been influenced by Ignatian and Teilhardian spirituality. She is also studying to become Certified in Permaculture Design. She now lives on the edge of a small city next to a 20 acre homestead with her husband, her Scotch Collie, Flora, one rooster and six hens.
