Learning to rest and be a more contemplative leader
Simply put, this retreat is an opportunity to rest, reflect, and listen.
We live in a world that does not value rest. Our world puts a high value on being productive, to give a little more of ourselves to the mission of our organizations, or to improve the bottom line of our business.
Our retreats are designed to slow things down. To create space to rest, just be, and not do.
We use the language of multi-resting to honor that we need to rest our minds, our hearts, and our hands. These three centers can become out of sync with each other. Resting each of them is essential in developing a more integrative life.
Being rested is important and an essential component to living a healthy life. Being rested helps you be your best self in every area of your life.
There are many opportunities to take rest and it can be hard to utilize them. Our lives are busy, filled with important things, and we work very hard to accomplish them well. These are among the challenges we face in taking a step back to catch our breath. So, the cycle has a chance to repeat itself and keep going.
At this two-day leadership resting retreat, you will have that opportunity for break this cycle and rest. To have the pause you have been yearning for, to slow down, to look up, and to be quiet.
As a part of our resting, we will consider and learn some tools that can help us develop a quiet mind, a calm heart, and still hands. These three elements of becoming a multi-rested leader are evident all around us. During our retreat we will utilize simple practices that can help you incorporate these three elements into your daily life, work with others, and in being your best.
You.
